npc silverthread citywatch player-safe

Species: Human Pronouns: He/Him Age: Early twenties Occupation: City Watch, Silverthread Location: Tangle gate and surrounding patrols Status: Active

At a Glance

The Watch guard who came in for Commander Arran’s breakfast. Young. Armor slightly too big. Talks more than he intends to. Genuinely good at his job in the way of someone who actually means it.

Appearance

Early twenties, silver city watch armor that hasn’t quite grown into him yet — or he into it. The kind of face that’s easy to read. He does not have a poker face. He is aware of this. He is working on it.

Personality

Good-hearted in a way that isn’t naive. He knows the city is hard right now, knows the Watch is understaffed, knows standing between two factions who both think they’re right is thankless work. He does it anyway because someone has to, and because Commander Arran said something once about being the city rather than just guarding it, and he wrote it down.

He takes small things seriously — being sent on an errand, being trusted with it, the fact that she said he was the most reliable one not to get distracted. These things matter to him. He doesn’t pretend they don’t.

He talks more than he intends to. He is aware of this. It is not going well.

Sample Voice

“Commander Arran said I was the most reliable one to not get distracted.” (sits up slightly straighter) “Which I thought was a real compliment actually.”

“She doesn’t waste words. I’ve been trying to learn that.” (pause) “I don’t think it’s going well.”

“Good morning!” (said to the whole room on his way out)
